Anthony ‘Tas’ Tasgal – Trainer, Author, Speaker, Strategist, Lecturer

Tas is the author of The Storytelling Book – the award-winning guide to using storytelling techniques to improve presentations and communications, which has sold over 40,000 copies globally. He has written 5 other books , including The Insight Book and most recently The Consumer Behaviour Book.
Tas runs his own training company and is a Course Director for the Chartered institute of Marketing, the Market Research Society, the Institute of Internal Communication, The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply the Civil Service College;
His training courses include Storytelling, Behavioural Economics, Insightment and Creative Briefing;
Tas has delivered training programs in the UK, USA, China, Hong Kong, Australia, Sweden and UAE;

The next meeting of the Hong Kong Knowledge Management Society will be in partnership with the Innovation and Technology Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong). Following an opening presentation from Prof. Eric Tsui on how researchers and teachers use AI tools at PolyU, there will be a round table discussion on sharing experiences from the practical application of AI.

It is free of charge. Places are limited.

Speaker Bios:

Eric Tsui is the Associate Director of the Behaviour and Knowledge Engineering (BAKE) Research Centre and works as a Senior Educational Development Officer in the Educational Development Centre at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In 2015-2023, he served as the Regional Editor of the Journal of Knowledge Management and has led and delivered a Master Knowledge Management program for over 15 years. Eric has also championed many technology-enhanced teaching and learning projects and is a crusader of blended learning at the university. His research interests include Knowledge Management technologies, blended learning, cloud services, and collaborations. He holds B.Sc. (Hons.), PhD, and MBA qualifications. A recipient of many Knowledge Management and E-Learning international awards, including the Knowledge Management Award for Excellence in 2021, Professor Tsui was twice listed as an exemplary/outstanding academic in PolyU Annual Reports in the last 7 years.

Dave Snowden is an entertaining speaker, much appreciated for his humour, pragmatic cynicism, and iconoclastic style. His work is globally renowned for enabling companies and governments to better deal with complex issues relating to strategy, organization, and decision-making.

Professor Snowden’s powerful anthro-complexity management toolset was developed for times like these, bringing together anthropology, neuroscience, and complex adaptive systems theory.

He holds a visiting Chair at the University of Hull and recently received a special award from the University for his original contributions to Systems Thinking. He has previously held visiting Chairs at the Universities of Pretoria, Bangor, and Hong Kong Polytechnic, as well as a visiting fellowship at the University of Warwick. He was a senior fellow at the Institute of Defense and Strategic Studies at Nanyang University and the Civil Service College in Singapore. He is also principle author of the European Union Field guide on managing in complexity and chaos.
